European Tour Postponement
"I just wanted to write a quick note to everyone about the change in our European tour. I'm sure everyone's painfully aware of how hard it is for anyone to afford to spend money on anything right now... We just decided that it made more sense to move things to May when hopefully, things will have settled down a bit. It also seemed like it might be an easier time for people to be able to afford to spend their hard-earned money on something like a concert."

I'm sure I'm not the only person who is disappointed by the postponement of the European tour. I think the reason is a bit naff though. I mean, yes the credit crunch is going to make it difficult to organise/promote etc, but they're still going to make their money, and all the other bands are managing. As for saying it'll be easier to spend our money in May, we all spent our money MONTHS ago on tickets! Meh. Seems like a bit of a poor reason to me. Anyone else feel the same?

I hope Ben Folds is still supporting next year though, or I'll be SUPER disappointed.

Yeah, a bit disappointed, given that I've already paid for tickets for the Dec 13th NEC concert and didn't know anything about it until your post...

It is a bummer (though I live in the States, and am not put out by this)... I feel bad for everyone over there waiting for them. I don't know if it's fair to say they're still going to make money.. I feel like they're trying to make sure everyone who wants to see them will be able to. At least, I hope that's why they're doing it... :/

Thanks for the heads up...
AUUUUUUUUUUUUGH.
I bought tickets within the first half hour of them being on sale. I bent over backwards for my boss to get the dates off. My husband did the same for his job. I was SO PSYCHED to be seeing my favorite band ever for the second time, and also getting to see Ben Folds whom I seriously admire. This concert has been getting me through some really crap things the past few months.
Now it's so much further away.
May is actually a much WORSE time for me. I've told family not to get me presents for christmas and instead pay for things like the hotel and transport. Now I'll have nothing till may! I'm really, really upset.
Everything should have been sorted on their end when the tickets went on sale. I'm a bit disapointed the guys have let it fall apart like this.
rargh. I really needed to see them. :(

it's disappointing for many reasons. actually in may i have other plans and probably concerts. i want to see u2 for example. they will start touring next year. before they had poland in their tour-list then they cancelled concert there. and now they're doing it for the second time (for me i mean).

Yeah, very disappointed over here as well. I was lucky enough to see them in June, but that was a festival gig, and they're better when it's just them... Now I'll have to wait until May again... :(
